Well it's day two and a full day of sight seeing in our's states capital. This is a very special trip for me because I am spending it with my mom and niece. We have been taking a girls trip for the last seven years. I am happy to teach my niece about Abraham Lincoln and how he made a difference as our 16th president. Hopefully my niece will gain an educational experience from this vacation. My mom was like a little kid. She couldn't stop talking about the experience. It makes me feel good to give my mom new experiences.
After a long day of walking in the hot sun, we are back at our hotel and resting. We will get up and get an early start and check out the tomb were Lincoln is layed to rest and visit the village of Salem where he lived before moving to Springfield.
I wished we could keep traveling for another week and spend more time together, just us girls!
